Abstract

In recent years there have been a large number of reports describing homologous DNA sequences in invertebrates, lower and higher vertebrates and some of these mapping at certain loci on human chromosomal DNA sequences. However as far as we know, no DNA sequences from plant genome has been found to correspond with a sequence linked on human chromosome. This short communication describes a sequence in the genomic DNA of lsoetes L. which is similar to human chromosome DNA sequence BACR-976B16 of library RPC1-11 from chromosome 14.
